Effective essay writing 2017

One year ago, I suffered from flu and fever. It was not a big deal. I just gave my appliction for two days in college and decided to take rest at home without knowing what was going to happen with me. I reached home told my mum about my sickness. She asked me to take rest and after some time she brought glass of milk and biscuits for me. I took them. She asked me to take medicines which were in medcal box. I told her I was no more a child I would take them on time. After some time I opened medical box and took the medicine without any care if I was taking the right one. Two more hours passed but I did not feel any improvement in my condition rather I felt pain in my stomach which was increasing as time was passing. I slept for some time. When I woke up I was not  well. With flu and fever there was severe pain in my stomach which was spreading in whole abdomen. I could not understand what was happening to me. At night, I again took the same medicine.  In morning, the condition was same. With flu and fever now I was suffereing great pain in abdomen. I was surprised. My mum asked me about my health. I did not tell her anything and keeping continue taking the same medicine. The whole day was so uncomfortable. I decided to consult a doctor but it was a big task for me because I did not have power to go to him. That day passed. At night I slept. As I remembered it was mid of night when I got up because of pain in  my stomach. I felt dizzines and room was spinning rapidly. As time was passing, pain was increasing at the point came where it cannot be tolerated. I told my mum and she took me to doctor. Doctor asked some questions.I told him everything. He asked me the name of medicine that I had been taking. As I told him the name he started laughing. His laughter amazed us. Mum asked him reason of lughing. Then he told with smile on his face that I had been taking the medicine of pain in back bone. As there was not pain in my back bone it did not affect but its side effect was pain in stomach. Then I remembered my father had backache and he used to take medicine but he never had more than one in a day. Then I got what was happening to me and why. Doctor strictly forbade me from self medication. Mum scolded me harshly. At that time I was feeling so bad but after some days when I got well, we enjoyed my this foolishness.  Even today my family members made fun of me remembering me that incident.

Sometime we get lesson from other person life. We should support a person who
has different skills and talent but due to some problems they cannot express their
talent and their skills become rusted. We should respect such kind of person and
treat them equally without any discrimination. We should give opportunity to
such kind of person so that they can expose their hidden talent and survive in

I’ll be okay within a day. But next day when I woke up, I felt like I was

After few hours when I opened my eyes, I found myself lying on the

Topic: Imagine you get robbed at knifepoint and then the thief gets hit by a car. The car speeds off, nobody else is around and he is in extreme pain but no death; do you help thief? And why?

Everybody goes through a tragedy in their life, they can never forget. A Kind of situation

that puts them in a really confusing predicament. I’ve also been in such an ordeal, I can never

forget in my whole life.

Last month my friend had arranged a party in her home. It was her birthday party. We all

friends were invited. After the party, I had to go home alone because all my friends had already

left home. It was about 12:00 am in the night. And the streets were looking so frightening. I was

driving smoothly, with high volume of my favourite songs.

Suddenly, a man appeared, asking for lift. I opened the door, and went outside. I was about

to ask him where he was going that unexpectedly, he took out a knife and put it on my neck. It

was the worst tribulation of my life. I tried my best not to handover my stuffs. I resisted. But he

pressed the knife on my neck that it started bleeding. I gave up and abandoned all my

possessions.

He ran to the car. Suddenly, a speedy car hit him, and speeded off. I was in a complete state

of shock. The thief was wounded. He was shouting HELP!!! I couldn’t stop myself from helping

him. I put him into the car, and took him to the hospital. He was badly injured..

After treatment when he got conscious. He owed an apology. He was really sorry for what

he did. He promised me that he’ll never go back to his previous life (his life as a thief) and that

he’ll have a new beginning of his life as a completely changed person.

That day I got something, violence can never finish violence only love can do that, blood can

never wash blood only water can do that. I changed his life. And now he has begun his life as a

totally changed person. And I’m really thankful to God for giving me this opportunity.

The Finch House

The Finch House has myriad problems. The air conditioning doesn’t work. The paint is cracking. The floorboards are warped. The shower head is broken. The toilet doesn't flush. The pipes are leaky. Old and worn, the carpet looks like a mangy dog's fur. The basement is flooded. The kitchen sink doesn't even have a faucet. These are only a few of the many issues with the house. If you were to buy the house, it would take fifty-thousand dollars in renovations just to make it livable. Besides, you can find better

The carpets were thick and cream-colored. They looked immaculate, as if no one had ever walked on them. Large windows filled the rooms with cheery light. The tiles in the kitchen shone like precious gems. It seemed like the perfect house.
“Oh, Gilbert. I love it,” Sharon said. “We’ve been looking for a house for so long. I think this might be the one.”
Gilbert turned to Ted, their real estate agent. “I think you’ve sold us on it, Ted.”
“Great. I’ll just run out to my car and get the paperwork.” Ted slapped Gilbert on the back and went outside.
“Sharon, can you believe this place?”
“I just can’t understand why it’s so cheap. It’s almost too good to be true.”
“Plus, the kitchen comes fully stocked with every appliance we could ever need. And they’re all brand new!” Gilbert patted the lid of the blender lovingly.
“It almost makes you wonder what this Ted guy is hiding. Maybe there’s something about the house we don’t know.”
“We’ve had it inspected. All the plumbing and electrical work is brand new and in perfect condition.”
“What if it’s something else?”
“Like what? Are you worried that it’s haunted or something?”
“No. Nothing like that. I’m just always a little suspicious of a deal that sounds too . Maybe the roof leaks or something, or the place might have a bad termite problem.” Sharon continued to walk around the kitchen, inspecting various cabinets and drawers.
“The roof can be fixed, the bugs can be killed. Don’t be so pessimistic.”
“You’re probably right. Hey, look at what someone left in here,” Sharon said, opening the refrigerator.
“Carrots.”
“That’s odd.” Gilbert said. He stood next to her, then pulled all nine bunches of carrots out of the refrigerator and set them on the counter. “Maybe the people living here last really liked carrot cake, or maybe they had a lot of rabbits.”
“Whatever the reason, it’s pretty weird.”
Ted came back into the kitchen. “I’ve got the papers!” His eyes caught sight of the carrots, and a nervous look came over his face and he quickly turned it into a smile. “Say, why don’t we sign these forms in the living room?”
“Ted, did you know these carrots were in here?” Sharon asked.
“I hear that they are great source of Vitamin A. How about signing these papers?”
“Gilbert, maybe we should put them back into the fridge.” She moved to reopen the refrigerator.
“No!” Ted shouted. “I mean, carrots are so much better at room temperature.”

Across America

The Gonzalez Family lives in different communities across the United States. They communicate with each other through letters, telephone calls, and email. Through this communication, they learn a lot about the different communities in which they live. Paz is the head of the family. She lives in San Antonio, Texas. Paz’s granddaughter, Lina, lives in Cambria, California. Paz’s grandson, Gil, lives in Lawrence, Kansas. These family members have different living experiences, based on where they live.
Paz’s community is in San Antonio, Texas. It is a very old city. San Antonio is 150 miles north of Mexico. Native Americans, Spaniards, Mexicans, and Central Americans have settled in San Antonio over the years. Now, with an extremely diverse population, it is the eleventh largest city in the United States. Like Paz, over half of the city speaks Spanish. San Antonio has many famous landmarks, and for this reason many tourists come to visit. Tourists enjoy visiting the Alamo, the Paseo del Rio or River Walk, the Tower of the Americas, and Randolph Air Force Base.
Lina lives in Cambria, California on an avocado farm. This city is nestled between the Pacific Ocean and the Monterey pines. There are many avocado farms here, because they grow well in such a mild climate. The pine trees protect the avocados from the harsh ocean winds. April is a very busy time for Lina and the other avocado farmers, because it is harvest time. The farmer’s market is packed with locals and tourists looking for fresh avocados. Many tourists drive through Cambria, California on their way up Highway 1. Highway 1 is a famous coastal highway in California. You can see the Pacific Ocean from this road. Sometimes you can even spot dolphins, whales, and sea otters splashing in the Pacific.
Lawrence, Kansas, where Gil lives, is in the Midwest. Kansas is a very windy place, because it is very flat. The consistent weather in Kansas makes it a great place to grow wheat, corn, and soybeans. Because it’s so predictable from season to season, the weather has allowed farmers to regularly harvest these crops for many years. Lawrence, Kansas is the home of the University of Kansas. Gil goes to many Jayhawks basketball games. Most people in town work or go to school at this university. Lawrence is a small town but it has several tourist attractions like the Natural History Museum, the Kansas River and Allen Field House at KU, where James Naismith invented basketball.
The Gonzalez Family is spread across the United States. They love each other very much, and they also love that they get to live in such diverse places. By staying in contact, they are able to learn about the different types of cities across America. Diversity makes America a more interesting place to live.

Bee Eaters

Bee-eaters are birds that eat...well...bees. Technically speaking, they eat "flying insects". Honeybees are their favorite. (Though they will eat a wasp from time to time.)
Now, you might be wondering exactly how a bee-eater eats a honeybee. After all, a honeybee doesn't seem like a meal that goes down easy. What about its stinger? And what about the venom inside it?
Here's how it happens. First, a bee-eater catches a honeybee in its beak. But it does not swallow it right away. It hits and rubs the honeybee against a hard surface. It does this repeatedly. It hits and rubs and hits and rubs and hits and rubs. After all this hitting and rubbing, the honeybee's stinger eventually falls off. And the honeybee's venom leaks out. The bee-eater can then eat a tasty (and safe) meal.

Told You

"We should stop," I said.
Mary rolled her eyes as we passed another gas station. Just then I heard a beep and a light flashed on the dashboard. I didn't have to look. I knew what it was. The car was telling us we were almost out of gas.
"Told you," I said.
"Thatcher," said Mary, "just be calm." Her fingers closed tightly around the steering wheel. A heavy mist began to roll over the highway.
"I am calm," I said. "This is getting serious. Maybe we should turn around."
"There's a gas station just over this hill," Mary replied, nodding ahead.
We crested the hill and saw no gas station. I looked sideways at Mary. She scowled back at me. I shook my head. I couldn't help feeling anxious.
"Just around this curve," Mary said, "There's a gas station just around this next curve. You'll see."

A Good Person

Roberto Clemente was born in 1934 in Puerto Rico. He played baseball for the Pittsburgh Pirates. He became the first Latino player to reach 3000 hits. But he was not just a great baseball player. Clemente was also a good person. He spent a lot of time helping people who were poor, sick, or in trouble. He died in 1972 when his plane crashed. Clemente was flying to bring supplies to people who had been hurt in an earthquake in Nicaragua.

Mekong Cruise

We boarded the boat in Chiang Rai. A woman named Anh sat on the bow and paddled. We moved slowly down a narrow canal that led out to the Mekong River.
We woke the next day in Huay Xay. From there we boarded a larger boat and moved east. We passed by hundreds of Buddhist monks dressed in bright orange robes.
The next stop was Pak Beng. There we saw herds of elephants moving freely along the water.
Days passed, and we arrived at Pak Ou. We got off the boat and stretched our legs. We spent the day exploring a number of wondrous caves.
After nine days on the boat, we arrived in Kuang Si. We took a short hike into the jungle. We ended the trip with a day of sun and swimming in the waterfalls found there.
